So What is the TCS Difference? That's a good question!  Well first of all in order to teach kids you have to invest time and energy into the right horses with the right kind of mind.  All the horses used in the Texas Charm School and Cowboy College program have been trained by me and my staff using the same techniques we teach our students.  Our horses are kept exercised both mentally and physically.  This means they are safer to be around because they use the thinking side of their brain instead of just the reaction side.  Another key TCS Difference is that all students, regardless of age and skill level, are taught to communicate with their horse on the ground as a foundation for the mastery of horsemanship.  If you cannot control a horse on the ground, you cannot expect to control them once you are on their back.  This is why we emphasize horsemanship on the ground as a key part of our program.  Also, all students are taught to conduct a pre-ride check or pre-flight check to make sure that there is open communication between them and their horse.  Now to the most amazing part!  At the very heart of the TCS Difference is the magic that is created when a young person learns how to truly communicate with their horse both on the ground and in the saddle.  When a young person realizes that they can communicate and control a horse by themselves it boosts their confidence and self- esteem.  Not to mention the work involved encourages accountability, self-reliance and fosters an excellent work ethic.  Texas Charm School & Cowboy College specializes in empowering young people through horsemanship!  Please come experience the magic with us.
